(Not my photo).
Speculaas (or speculoos or 'Dutch windmill cookies') are a delightfully moreish spicy biscuit sensation. They are crunchy, perfect with a cup of tea or hot chocolate and not too sweet; the almond flakes on the back add a gentle nutty richness to the bold spice and the charming designs with elaborate details make them appealing to all ages (Windmills, elephants, chickens). The ginger in them makes them easy for those suffering morning sickness to live off for a whole pregnancy.. lol. - Apr 08

The 1st computer I can remember our family owning looked something like this IBM, with the huge floppy disks, that would loudly beep music or errors in the same annoying tone.. F8 normally turned off game music (as you raced in to stop it before anyone complained).
I started using them from around 4 years old I'm told and can still remember trying to create a chat bot in Command prompt by saving response text files.
Dad made the response to 'S*it": lots of full stops on each line scrolling down (making a falling effect) which promptly ended in- *plop*..
C:/dir, C:/games/dir, C:/games/cat.exe.. is that right? Wait, cd.. lol (geek joke)
Let's just say I learned to spell quickly with the command based games like 'Mother goose' and 'Police Quest'.. I loved that old thing :) - Apr 07

My lovely old aunt gave me a bag full of white broderie anglaise fabric to craft with. Unfortunately most of it had pastel multicolour embroidery which can just look a little too tacky and cheap.
I went on to research natural dyes and processes, including some history and weird common dye ingredients. To dye with berries, first soak you cloth in salted water for an hour, then add to pre-prepared boiled dye mix of 1/2 water, 1/2 berries and cook/soak for an hour depending on desired colour. The same for plant dyes, except prepare with vinegar instead of salt.
After going through turmeric dying, and finding that most natural dyes were advised to be washed separately in cold water, (which is a pain in the butt for my intended recipient of the dyed complete gift, being a busy mum of 4) I decided to look at commercial dyes..
After reading the history of Rit dyes and looking through more brands, then remembering I swore I saw something about dying with kool-aid on Pinterest.. I decided on trying Rit next time I can get down to the craft shop.
I then drew up a template on this awesome colour-palette site: http://www.colourlovers.com and applied my projected colours to it.Overall I think I learned some quirky things and it was useful :)

Just finished watching Wall-E, was wondering that myself. Hopefully CDs and DVDs will be replaced by USBs. I'm so sick of getting half way through a movie before having to skip through 4 episodes or chapters to watch the end wondering what happened in the middle.

This submission has been flagged by users. Click to view.
That's the best I've got for now, the laundry is mostly inaccessible right now due to clothes and sheets hanging off the door (not a normal thing, trust me).
Stormy and windy weather's kicked in and there is laundry hung up in four different rooms as well as the outside hills hoist.
Our laundry consists of a machine, broom closet/hobby/shoe storage, cat litter tray, bed, carrier and food bowl and developing darkroom cabinet with a few hanging baskets. If only we weren't renting.... - Feb 27
